My neighbor from upstairs has a 2 1/2 yr. old boy. Every night they come down and sit outside so the little one can run around and get some energy out. I try to go out and play with them, since Noah asks if I'm coming out. Last night, I decided to teach Erica how to knit. Wow, that was funny, since I haven't knitted in awhile. Noah picked out the color of yarn and the lesson went well. This afternoon I got home from Grammie and Pa's and decided a short nap was in order. I stretched out on the couch and promptly fell asleep. I was awakened by a pounding at the door. Erica was standing there with the yarn in one hand, needles in the other, and Noah by her side. She had torn out her stitches three times and had forgotten how to start again. I had to laugh. How many times had a done this? Too many to count. We soon fixed the situation and decided to meet outside after dinner. I have to say that seeing someone knit inspired me to start knitting again. Like I don't have enough to do, but what's another UFO (UnFinished Object).
As we were playing outside after dinner Noah asked me to chase him around on the sidewalk. The sidewalk is in the shape of a U with a big crack right in front of our window. When he got to the crack he said, "I jumped really hard and I broke the sidewalk." I asked him if he was going to fix it and he said, "I don't got some tape." Well, after watching him run around and roll around down our "hill" it makes me wonder if I could bottle that energy and become rich. Maybe someday.
